Can't install Google Nest cams after uninstalling old NEST cams and deleting NEST account

I am trying to install a Google Nest Cam (wired 2nd generation) but the error message says I cannot migrate from NEST even though I have disconnected all the NEST cams and deleted my NEST account. I DO NOT WANT TO MIGRATE FROM NEST, but start fresh with the Google Home App and 2nd generation, wired Google Nest Cams. I have a G-Suite email account, not a personal account.

I've tried deleting and re-installing Google Home on my iPhone, but the app still says I can't migrate -- which I don't want to do.

Maybe it takes a while for Google Home to realize I've deleted my NEST account and and do not want to migrate.

Any suggestions?

You can't use a G-Suite email account for Google Nest. It just doesn't work. You need to use a personal gmail account. There are numerous posts in this forum about that.

I don't know why you're getting a migration error unless you're trying to connect to the same Google Nest "home/structure" in the Google Home app that you had set up previously in the Google Nest app.

1st gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells still get installed in the Google Nest app, using the "Sign on with Google" option (using a personal gmail account).

If you're not migrating your Nest Account to a Google Account, you'll also need to do a factory reset of your 1st gen cameras and doorbells, unless that happened automatically when you removed them from the Google Nest app.

If you want to talk to Support, you can use the link  and instructions in this post:

Thanks for the quick response. It looks like I can't use Google Nest cams if I have G-suite email even if after I have closed my Nest account and disconnected the old NEST cams. I'm sending the Google Nest cam back and ordering another system...just isn't worth trying to sort all this out.

You just can't use a G-suite account with Google Nest. It has nothing to do with closing your Nest Account.

If you have a gmail account, you should be able to log into the Google Nest app with that gmail account--using the "Sign in with Google" option--and reinstall your older cameras in the Google Nest app. And you can install your 2nd gen wired Google Nest camera in the Google Home app, using that same gmail account.  And you can get one Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription that covers ALL of your camera, provided you install them in the same Google Nest "home/structure" in each app.

Once again thanks, but the Google cam is on its way back to Amazon and I've ordered another system. We'll see how that works. For me, it's just too complicated trying to fit into Google's ecosystem.
