Google Nest 4th Gen Thermostat

I just got a new 4th Gen Google Thermostat and have questions about setting temperature manually in settings. When I go to Settings and then to Temperature and click on it a page comes up showing the days of the week at the top and then under that I have Comfort set at 75 degrees F at 6:00 am and Sleep set at 73 degrees F at 10:00 pm..Then at the bottom of the page the days are listed again. The Comfort & sleep settings are located under Monday. I want to have all the days to repeat this setting. Do I click on each day except Monday at the bottom to highlight the day in Blue and then hit SAVE to have the schedule repeat the same for each day of the week?

Hi @CAWwindy1,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you'd like to apply the same temperature schedule (Comfort at 75°F at 6:00 AM and Sleep at 73°F at 10:00 PM) to all days of the week on your Nest Learning Thermostat 4th Gen, rather than just Monday's already scheduled settings you created. I'm happy to help.

Since you already have a schedule for Mondays, you just need to edit the existing event and select the days you want to apply the same schedule to. You can learn how to edit an existing event by following the steps below:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Select your thermostat.
  3. Tap Schedules.
  4. Tap the day of the week that has the temperature you'd like to change.
  5. Select the temperature you want to change, and then you can make the following changes:
    • Use a different temperature preset. You may want to edit an existing preset or create a new preset if the temperature you want isn’t there.
      • Note: If you edit an existing temperature preset, it’ll update everywhere it's used in the thermostat schedule.
    • Change the time.
      • Touch and drag the numbers up and down to change the time.
      • Only available times will be selectable to prevent time conflicts. Adjacent temperatures in your thermostat's schedule must be at least 60 minutes apart.
    • Choose other days of the week you'd like this temperature to occur (for example, Tuesdays and Thursdays).
  6. Choose the sensor(s) you want the thermostat to use. If you don’t choose a sensor, the thermostat will use its internal sensor.
  7. Tap Save to save the changes.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,

Anders
