I have a routine triggered by saying 'I'm going to bed'. Various lights turned off and my speaker playing BBC Radio 4. Except it doesn't, it plays a Spotify track by a band called Radio 4 or occasionally a track called Green by 4Tet.
If I say Hey Google play radio 4 it works fine,
Everything is up to date, and I've deleted and recreated the routine but it doesn't change.
Home app 3.10.1.6
Lenovo Clock: System firmware version: OIMK.211005.001
Cast firmware: 1.56.285116
Changing to Play BBC Radio 4 on BBC Sounds doesn't change it either.
I've reset the clock and reinstalled home. Didn't help.

Update: the routine doesn't work when requested on a Google home mini 2nd gen.
However, if I change the Action from Play and control media>Radio
to Adding my own >'play radio 4'
It works! So I have a workaround. Automation is still broken!!!

Thank you!
I've had such a rude awakening for the last couple of weeks and couldn't figure it out!
We can't be the only people. So I guess the band Radio 4 are baffled by the sudden surge in royalties from one particular track!

I have been having the exact same issue. It’s been playing a metal band with an album called live on radio 1

Similar issue with an automation routine, except it plays Radio 4 Carol Singers instead of streaming radio 4. Works fine if asked manually though...
Will try the workaround option you figured out!
