Hi Moe2,

Only Google Nest WiFi points have Google assistant enabled speakers and not the WiFi router.

Have a look at option 2 (Nest WiFi points) on the Google Nest help center link below.

"If you don't have a Google Wifi device or Nest Wifi router, or if you just don't want to use your Nest Wifi point as a Wi-Fi device right now, you can still set up your device and use it as a speaker with Google Assistant".

What I mean is can you just use the speaker without the Wi-Fi extending, or do you need the Wi-Fi router to connect it to your

wifi?

Hi @Moe2,

Yes you can use the WiFi point as just a speaker (like a Google Nest mini).

You can set it up using the Google Home app and connect it to your current WiFi network.
