  • I can't connect to the chromcast even after a facory reset

Hey Mahmoud1223,

 

We're sorry you're having problems connecting your Chromecast after reset — let's figure this out.

 

A few questions: 

 

  • What's the message you're getting when setting up your Chromecast?
  • Has the Chromecast been connected to this network before?
  • Is it showing on your Google Home app as an available device?
  • What's the message you're seeing on your TV screen?
  • Are you using a private or public network?

Give these steps a try: 

 

  1. Make sure your phone and Chromecast are connected to the same network and within 15-20 feet of your router.
  2. Toggle the Wi-Fi off and on from the set up device.
  3. Reboot your router and Chromecast to refresh the connection.
  4. If you're using an iOS device, make sure Local Network Access is turned on for the Google Home app
