Chromecast Wrong Time Zone

Hello, since we have moved, our Chromecast is an hour off. I have dug through ALL of the settings of the Home app and the Chromecast, but there is no way for me to change the time zone. I have seen several other posts like this, and none of them have provided a way for me to resolve this. My home address is correct. I heard someone mention that the address may be wrong in their database, but trying to directly contact Google support just leads me to this forum, so here I am. What can I try to get the time zone on this device accurate?

Sorry to hear about the trouble. I wanted to follow up and see if I could be of any help. Your Chromecast will base the time in the location added in your Google Assistant settings. Since your address is updated, could you provide us with the case number when you contacted our support team, so we can check further?

Hello, I have not contacted your support team... I tried, but I was redirected to post here and was not given an option to contact support or put in a ticket. If you can direct me for the right place to do so, I would be happy to put in a ticket instead.

Also, I checked my Assistant settings and my home address is set correctly there.

Hi there,

 

Thanks for the response. Which Chromecast device? If it’s Chromecast with Google TV check this setting: Google TV Settings > System > Date & time > Automatic date & time > Off. From here, you can manually set your desired time and time-zone.

Ah ok, that was it; had to actually use the remote to change it on the TV. Thank you!
