Chromecast disconnecting

My chrome cast keeps saying it’s not available, that it isn’t online despite both my phone and it being connected to the same WIFI. I don’t know how to fix this without resetting it every time. I would appreciate some help.

  • What is the model of your Chromecast? If you’re unsure, you can check the specifications here: Chromecast & Google TV Streamer specifications
  • What is the firmware version of your device?
  • Are your phone and the Google Home app fully up to date?
  • What is the status of the LED light on your Chromecast? Please include the color and if it's solid or blinking.
  • How far is the device from your Wi-Fi router?
  • Where exactly do you see the error message? Is it within the Google Home app or when you try to cast from a specific application?
  • Does this happen with all streaming services or only with specific ones?
