Been using my chromecast for years, went offline yesterday night. Factory reset and still won’t connect back to my wifi. The WiFi is not the issue as it is fine on all other devices. Did google retire the older chromecast devices?

I've got the same issues. It says that my chromecast can not be verified due to an outdated firmware update. Even a hard reset won't solve the problem

Exactly the same problem has occured for me.

Same problem here. It seems that there is no solution?

Mine is doing the same thing here in New Zealand, any idea how to fix?

Same here in COLO. Is it weird that we're all having this problem AT THE SAME TIME??

I'm having the same problem. I have tried turning it off and turning it on again. Even did a factory reset and it still shows that it is offline.

Widespread problem. I'm not on X so will check here to see if anybody discovers a fix.

So they just bricked something that's been perfectly functional for the better part of a decade? I presume there's going to be additional functionality in the next gen of Chromecasts or hopefully new Chromecast audios, conveniently timed to have us replace the perfectly fine, existing units in circulation.

hope that they answer in near future.

Time for a class action we own ten devices all at the same time stopped working. And now reading this I'm sure they did it to everyone F them these weren't cheap especially ten of them.
