Chromecast won’t connect to WiFi router says no internet and displays W9N6 fault code ?

Hey EPF7,

 

Thanks for reaching out and that certainly hasn't been easy for you — let's figure this out.

 

A few questions: what Chromecast device do you have? Has your Chromecast been connected to this network before? If so, were there any recent changes to your network?

 

Give these steps a try:

 

  1. Make sure your devices are connected to the same network and within 15-20 feet of your router.
  2. Reboot your phone, Chromecast and router to refresh the connection. 
  3. Toggle the Wi-Fi off and on from the set up device.
  4. If you're using an iOS device, make sure Local Network Access is turned on for the Google Home app.
  5. If the issue persists, try resetting your Chromecast.
