When some Nest or Google Home devices go offline, the Nest and/or Home apps will send you a notification. As far as I'm aware, there isn't a way to enable a notification specifically for when your internet goes offline.

Hi folks,

Thanks for posting in the community.

@David_K, thanks for helping.

@Griffiths415, our product expert is correct. While we don't have that feature, you can send us feedback by saying " Okay Google, send feedback" followed by your message. We are always looking ways to improve our products. I'll go ahead and consider this thread as complete and will lock it after 24 hours. If you have other questions, feel free to create a new one.

Thanks for the response. I’m a little surprised that this feature is not available as it would be super useful. I’m gonna assume easy to shut up or Google or enable.Thanks for the response. Are there any third-party apps or services such as I FTT you would recommend for this

Hi Griffiths415,

We appreciate your insights. The moment the Google Nest speakers disconnects to the network, it will no longer notify you nor response to your every command. We'll take this as a feedback and we'd also like to encourage you to send a feedback for any features that you’re looking forward to using with our Google Nest devices.

Best,

Princess
