Can anyone help me with having it find my new cell phone ? I'm using a Nest Mini . and the new is a Galaxy S7 Edge.

The S7 isn't a "new" phone. To you it might be new, but after a quick search I see it was released in 2016.
It should still connect with Google Home, but Google Home requires Android 9 or higher. My S9 had Android 10.
