Hello I recently got the nest flood light with the camera. I want to set up an automation so starting at 9:00 p.m. until the morning (7am) I want the flood light not to come on during motion detected.
When I tried to create automation the only options I saw was the sleep and awake which just dims it down and up for regular lights and also the flood light turning it on and off but I don't want to turn the actual light on and off because normally the light is already off, I just don't want the motion detector to turn the lights on during the night when it finds motion. I thought this was possible when I purchased it please help if I'm missing something! We get a lot of animals and the light is bright and bounces into the bedroom.
Thanks

Hello Nicci87,
Thank you so much for posting in this community. I understand you want to set an automation in your Nest Camera with floodlight, so don't worry. It's a pleasure to share more information with you.
Regarding the function that you want to perform in the camera, it isn’t currently available, so I suggest sending us feedback to improve our service and provide you with a better experience. We'll carefully review requests for potential inclusion in future updates.
Also, I can provide you with the features available to use with your camera and the settings designed for your lifestyle. For your reference, check out this article: Change floodlight settings.

Thanks that's so unfortunate because I got this thinking I'll have more control than the regular floodlight but animals keep triggering it at night but I do need it when I take the dog out during the night so ability to just stop all function during sleep time without physically turning the switch off is ideal.

Hi I need that for days of the week as well. My neighbours need me to turn off the sensor on Friday evenings because they are orthodox jews and don't want to be causing lights to turn on when they walk past on their sabbath. @moralesvicente Even if there isn't a solution inside the camera settings, is there some way to disable the motion sensor (or totally disable the floodlights - but not to disable the camera) at certain times/days of week from Google Home routines/automations or even from IFTTT? Thanks

Hey ZSCH,
Thank you so much for sharing your concerns with me. I understand you want to adjust some configuration with your Google Nest Camera with floodlight. So I’ll be more than happy to help. In this case, I can suggest the steps available to perform on your device; the camera will be continuously working; we're just going to disable the floodlights.
Also, you can set motion sensitivity to high, medium, or low to adapt it to your preference.
Please let me know if these suggestions were helpful.
Best regards,
Daniel

Correct, however I'm looking for automation to do this for me everyday at 9:00 p.m. so I don't need to do this manually.

Right, me too, I know how to turn it off manually my question was how to schedule that automatically every Friday evening either directly from the camera settings or from a home automation app like Google home automations or IFTTT. Thanks
