Ok here we go, I have a google home nest camera with 2 floodlights.
Lights keep going on ALL night !
Narrowed down the “zone” so not near pavement/road or passing pedestrians.
No spiders present.
Switched off the IR in camera so bugs don,t set lights off.
Minimised the time on for lights to 10 seconds.
Still the bloody lights come on and sometimes only remain off for a few seconds then go on again. Driving me up the wall (probably the neighbours either side as well (house is mid terrace). Read up on dozens of advice suggestions, cat flea collar/Spiderex spray/vaseline/vicks Vapor ointment, tried all of them to no avail.
Only way looking at now is to rip the thing off the wall and try some other device (Ring whatever) any serious answers out there ?

Hi WillieRP,
Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with your Nest Camera with Floodlight that is turning on the lights without someone's presence. I understand how frustrating it can be when things do not work as expected, including after all the suggestions that you tried. But don't worry; help is here. In order to solve this situation, you can try to reset the camera:
Here is how:
After that you can do the test and see how that works.
If that doesn't solve the situation, you can try the factory reset of the camera, but keep in mind that you will need to set up the camera; personalized settings will revert to default settings, and the entire video history and snapshots will be deleted. Once your video history and snapshots are deleted, they're gone forever. They cannot be recovered. We don't keep backups. You can check the "Restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell" article for detailed information about the factory reset.
Please keep me posted and let me know how that goes. I'll be waiting for your response.
Best regards,
Jenny
