Hello, so last night ny Gen 3 chromecast said its "not verrified " and cant connect then i went to reset it to see if it works, but when i try to setup it in google home it says "couldn't authenicate your chromecast" , what should i do?

Same problem for me .. there is no solution posted still.. it seems to be some firmware issue

I have the same problem. I have done factory reset, a alphanumeric code. Appeared on TV, but where I have to put the code?

Hi ! Have the same problem...was reading lots of people's comments here ...seems like its global problem and yet no one to help .

You need to set the date/time on your phone to March 7th 2025 and retry to add it back to google home. It should fix that part but not the casting part... it's broken because SSL cert expired.

thanks for this information.. from what I understand there is no chance to restore it? Have to buy new one?
