I just bought 4 Roku cameras and a doorbell bc it said they work with Google assistant. Unfortunately I am unable to do ANYTHING with them except turn them on. If I attempt to turn them off via Google Assistant I get "The (camera or cameras) has a security restriction" it was suggested to turn off 2fA in your Roku account settings, which I never activated anyway, and as far as I can tell there's no way to turn it off in the Roku Smart Home app... It's just there, and on, only thing you can change is the phone number. Also there is no "Roku Smart Home App" option in the "linked apps", as was suggested by Roku Support which were entirely unhelpful, only the standard "Roku" app for your TV. I'm at a loss on what to do and am VERY frustrated that I may have to fight with Roku and return nearly $200 in equipment at my own cost bc they are not as compatible as I was lead to believe. Plz halp.

We don't have Roku cameras, but when you go to the Roku site, is there a button direction under "Two-Step Verification" as noted in this Roku post?

Two factor authentication was never, and is not, active on Roku.com. The Roku Smart Home app has Native 2FA that I cannot disable. As I said. I even chatted with Roku Customer Support and they were useless and merely passed the buck to Google. I'm happy that person got resolution but that information is, apparently, outdated. I'm of the opinion that Roku might have disabled the ability to turn off 2FA on their smart home app, independently of the 2FA on Roku.com, which is infuriating.
I was able to setup the Roku Smart Home App to sense when I'm home or away, so it turns them off/on respectively. But that requires the app to constantly ping my location which drains my phone battery. I bought these cameras bc they were supposedly compatible with Google Assistant, meaning I could integrate them with my Google Home routines. Now I'm wishing I'd just bought Google Nest cameras and a Nest hub.

That's unfortunate. I'm just another Google Nest customer, but I looked up Roku's posting on its camera, where they say it has "voice compatibility" with "Google Assistant" (https://www.roku.com/products/smart-home/cameras/roku-indoor-camera?bundle=SCS11R), and their support site topic, "How to use Google to control your Roku Smart Home devices", where they say "The live video stream from your camera can be viewed on a display device connected to Google Assistant like a Google Nest Hub." (https://support.roku.com/article/7873236986519).
If Roku is going to advertise that, it seems Roku is responsible for delivering on it.

Here now same issues thanks for the post!! I’ve used feedback from home ap before on my speakers and I was surprised it worked. I will try with cameras just bought and added two roku 360s that show up and link but getting the error message as well.
any updates appreciated
