Google Doorbell

hey Everyone!  I have tried to search for this and can’t find my issue so here goes.  We just installed a new Google Doorbell.  It’s on my Google and I can see everything but I shared this with my husband and he can’t see the doorbell?  What am I doing wrong?  Why can’t he see the doorbell and please break it down for a 2 year old.  I thought I was pretty savvy in the geek world but apparently I know nothing!  This has me stumped?  I thought if I shared everything with him this would include the doorbell?

Thanks so much for any help you can give me!!

@PennyG

Did you go to Settings | Household in the Google Home app and add your husband to your "household"? And did he accept the "invitation" to join? (He has to have a Google (gmail) Account and when logging onto the Google Home app, he has to connect to the same Google Nest "home/structure" where the doorbell is installed and be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Okay he did accept the invitation but his does not have the same name as mine because he named it differently ?   Do we need to do this again?

@PennyG

When he logs onto the Google Home app, he needs to connect to the same Google Nest “home/structure” where you installed the doorbell.

Okay now we’ve done that but now here comes the kicker!  When we log in to the nest app it is going to his old phone number which we no longer have!  WHAT A MESS!  How do we fix this and there’s no one answering this question from Google or the Nest!  In fact NEST has a phone no that is no longer working!   Grrrrrrrrrr!  I hope someone has a clue what to do!

I'm a bit confused about what's all going on in your situation. It seems that you may have installed your new 2nd Gen Google Nest Doorbell in a Google Nest "home/structure" that was established some time ago in the Google Nest app using a phone number your husband no longer has. It's a challenge to update the phone number used for 2-factor authentication if you don't make the change while you still have access to the phone number.

I don't know whether Google Nest Support can assist you on this or not (you might have to uninstall everything, do factory resets, and reinstall), but to reach Support you need to start with the link below. When you get to the "Resources" page, don't click the help links, but instead select "Next step" to get to the contact choices (phone or chat).
