Google Home App found but don't save hue lights

For a few weeks now, my Philips Hue bluetooth lights don't work. I am trying to reset everything including Nest Hub 2nd, Hue lights, Google Home app etc.

I can add two hue lights as usual, but two others (Tube and Vintage bulb) are found by the google home app and make the lights blink, but in the next step where these lights should be saved and attached to a specific room, an error message appears.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi Cloud_N9E_,

This is not the experience we want you to have; let us help you. A few questions: were there any recent changes made? What command are you giving, and what is the error message? Is the issue only happening with your Tube and Vintage bulbs? How about your Philips Hue BLE? Are they working on their native app?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord from your router, followed by your Nest speakers, then your smart light bulbs.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Once done, make sure to unlink and relink your smart bulbs from their native app and try to link them to your Google Home app.

For additional troubleshooting steps, open the link: Use smart lights with Google Nest or Home devices

Keep us posted.

Best,

Dan

A soft reboot has helped .. but this is strange because I performed also  a factory reset before, tried different bulbs.

Now it works... Thanks 👍

Hey Cloud_N9E_,

Perfect! We're glad to know that your device is now showing up in the Google Home app. A recent update on the Google Home app has been released and may have fixed the issue.
