I have a wifi smart enabled Toshiba A/C unit that I have added to my Google Home account via the Toshiba app and recently got a wifi smart Leak Detector added to Google Home via Smart Life. Both show up perfectly fine in Google Home. How do set up a routine where if the leak detector activates, it turns off the A/C? Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello Autobotguy,
Good questions! There's no specific action on routines that can be added for the smart leak detector. However, there's an option on routines where you can add your own phrase or commands. Please note that this is just a workaround and may or may not work. I suggest that you reach out to SmartLife support first to check with them if your device will support such actions using a third-party device.
To add your own actions on routine, please follow the steps below. You can also visit this link to learn more.
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers,
Muddi

Sorry for the late reply in this. I did exactly as you typed and while I see in Google Home that the leak detector does trip, it does not turn off the A/C. I even simplified the names of the A/C and sensor, but no luck. Any other ideas?

Hi Autobotguy,
We’re sorry for the late response! Since it isn’t working after trying the provided steps, we suggest that you contact SmartLife support to gain more information about your concern. Google Home relies heavily on the features and functions of third-party devices, apps, and services. Let us know how it goes.
Kind regards,
Dan
