Google Home says it's playing the wrong radio station but plays the right one.

When I ask Google Home to "play CBC Radio One Kelowna", it always says "playing CBTK FM on TuneIn". It replies back the wrong radio station. I live in BC Canada. It seldom gets says the correct station but plays the correct one. It’s completely messed up. Would be nice if it actually said the correct station back.

Sorry, but that is the correct station call sign.  CBTK-FM is the call sign for Kelowna's CBC. Just like CBU-FM is for Vancouver. You are lucky that asking for CBC Radio One Kelowna works. That has not worked in Vancouver for years. In Van we have to say to the assistant or script, play CBU FM.

Interesting, but when I ask google to play CBTK-FM from TuneIn, The reply is “Sorry I don’t understand“.  But works the other way around and sometimes it will actually say The correct station “ playing CBC Radio One Kelowna from TuneIn” IDK. Some consistency would be nice

Thank you for posting in the community.

Thanks for all the information and all the important things related to the radio stations; also, we would like to share some tips that maybe can help during the process.

If your speaker or display doesn't play the radio station you requested, try these steps:

• Ask for the station in a different way. For example, if the name didn't work, try the callsign or frequency.
• Add more specific information, such as "on [radio service]," to your request.
• When you use the frequency, add the name of a nearby city.
