Google Nest Cameras undiscoverable after wifi change.

Hello all, 

I am currently unable to access the feeds from my camera after my xfinity gateway was installed. Our wifi name was changed and the cameras were set up on the "old" wifi name.  Ive tried all of the options for resetting the cameras up via the scan the qr code method. Ive factory reset and tried setting them up from there as well. I also can not seem to get my xfinity wifi to display the same way it did when the cameras were originally set up. Thus they are now just paperweights.

 

When trying to set the cameras up from factory reset, the process would just terminate while showing the shapes moving back and forth and say that the camera can not be set up please try at a later time.

Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:

  • Are you using an Android or an iPhone mobile to set up your cameras?
  • What is the make and model of your router?
  • Where were the cameras purchased?
  • Are you using the latest version of the Google Home app to set it up?
  • How far have you gotten in pairing your cameras?
  • What color is the LED light on your cameras?
  • How far are the cameras from the router?
  • Can you connect to the internet with other devices?
  • Are there any other devices that experience issues with the WiFi network?
  • Do other devices experience slow internet speeds?
  • Are you connecting your cameras to a 2.4 or 5 GHz Wi-Fi network?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the cameras when you want to set them up?
  • Are your mobile device and your cameras connected to the same WiFi frequency band?
  • Can you see the title of your cameras on your Google Home app?
