Recently added a wired Google Nest doorbell to my small line up at home. I previously had two indoor wired cameras that worked fine in the Google Home app. Adding the doorbell was a headache. I wasn't able to add to the home app directly despite multiple attempts. Finally added it to a Nest account that I set up (both on the same Gmail account). The doorbell cam showed up in Google Home but would not display any video. I tried turning off my firewall, restarting the doorbell camera, un-installed Google home several times (purging my cache and shutting down before reinstall), etc. The camera shows up on Nest. I even was able to view the video feed via web browser with Google. While away from home today, the camera appeared to work on my Google Home app. It stopped working when I got home. I turned my wifi off on my phone to use only cellular data several times. Each time, the doorbell camera would start working once my wifi was turned off on my Android. I have turned off wifi data use on the Google Home app for now but this is frustrating. I don't have good signal when I work overnight at home. Any thoughts on how to change the set-up on this?

It's not clear what's going on in your case. Do you have a 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell (installed in the Google Nest app), or a 2nd gen Google Nest Wired Doorbell or 2nd gen Google Nest Battery Doorbell (installed in the Google Home app)?
What do you mean by "added it to a Nest account that I set up (both on the same Gmail account)"?? What do you mean by "The camera shows up on Nest"?
Did you by any chance install your new doorbell in a different Google Nest "home/structure" than your existing indoor wired cameras?

Thank you for your response. I have a 2nd gen Google Nest Wired Doorbell that I could not get to add to my Google Home app where I normally view/monitor my other cameras. Thus, I downloaded the Nest app and was able to add the 2nd gen Google Nest Wired Doorbell. In the Nest app, the camera was able to be viewed and functioned from what I could tell, as to be expected and as it should. When I view my Google Home app, the Doorbell camera is listed with previously set up cameras (these other cameras work well and without issue). When I click on the Doorbell camera to view a live feed, I do not get any video feed when I am on the same Home wifi network. If I change settings for the Google Home app to only work on cellular data (and not wifi), I can view a live video stream.
After posting this, I was prompted that I could migrate this device. I thought I that it would be worth trying to see if anything changed in functionality. When I did this, the migration failed and the camera was listed as unavailable in Nest and camera off in Google Home. I was not able to get it to come back on despite several attempts; a power cycle did not seem to work on the doorbell camera either. I did a factory reset and am back to the same point.... Doorbell camera is available/viewable on Nest with wifi or cellular data, and the Doorbell camera is only available/viewable when on cellular data.

If you installed your doorbell in the Google Nest app (and then later "transferred" it from the Google Nest app to the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app), then you have a 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell. (2nd gen doorbells CANNOT be installed in the Google Home app.)
I don't know why you CANNOT see the video feed for your transferred doorbell in the Google Home app while on Wi-Fi; we can see video feeds in the Google Home app for our untransferred 1st gwn Google Nest Hello Doorbells. It might be a temporary glitch affecting transferred doorbells; other customers in this forum are reporting glitches with transferred 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbells. (The ability to transfer doorbells was just implemented recently.)

You are spot on. It was a first gen doorbell camera. I'll attempt to get tech support help again. Thank you for your help.
