Google Nest Temperature sensor - NL

Hi all,

I have just acquired a new Google Nest Learning. After some experience in my new house I would like to add more data points in the shape of thermostats sensors.

Google does sell these in the USA, but not in Europe and particularly NL. I am wondering two things:

- when is it coming to Europe / NL (is it even coming?)

- are there other brands which work with Google Nest to fill in the void if Google does not sell them NL?

Tapo T315 but it needs the Tapo Hub. Automation based on temperature only works in the Google Home Script Editor (not from the home app, likely a bug).

From the Netherlands as well, and use the sensor to automate my AC unit

In the meantime, you might explore third-party brands compatible with Google Nest. Some brands integrate well with Nest products, offering alternative options for adding sensors to enhance your smart home experience. Keep an eye on official announcements from the Google Nest Community Forum.

Thanks for the comment. Too bad it is not yet available in the Netherlands. Do you have a list of other brands and products which are able to fulfill the task?

Hi Mark,

You are welcome. I am searching for a sensor to measure each rooms temperature individually with a so called smart TRT (thermostat tap). A brand named Tado supports this with individual radiators.

I want this as well, however it does not work with Google Nest because the API is not open. What are the alternatives? I feel a bit tricked into a smart device which is not able to link with different devices.

I appreciate your proactive approach to optimizing your home's temperature control. While the Nest Temperature Sensor doesn't support the feature you're looking for, you have options to find the right fit for your preferences and create a seamlessly connected smart home environment.

I'll bet other users would love to have this feature too. But right now, we don’t have an answer for alternatives, and we'll take this as feedback.
