I have a simple proposal related to Google Home App Automations and the Nest Thermostat.
I want to be able to turn the heating link ON/OFF as an action which would turn on the boiler (or the device the heating link is controlling) but without having to modify the temperature on the Nest Thermostat.
For example, I currently have 1 Nest Learning thermostat which controls the boiler. I want to add some valves to my radiators. Whenever a valve requests heat, I want to be able to turn the boiler on/off without affecting the temperature of the room that the Nest thermostat is responsible for.
I think it would be easy to separate those with an update to the thermostats. Let me know if it all makes sense and I hope to get some feedback whether it is likely to be implemented.
Thanks!
