Hub Max, which I had for 15 months, had been my favorite device until I woke up one morning to the screen being stuck with the G logo. I rebooted, the same. I did a hard reboot, and it made the problem worse…black screen. I tried all recommended steps, including buying a new power cord - nada.
Tech support, although friendly, could do nothing. After speaking with his supervisor, offered only a $25 credit to the Google store. I am infuriated. 3 months after the warranty runs out, and a defective update, which is entirely Google’s fault, and this is the best they can do.
There were numerous similar complaints I found all over social media, dating back over a year. This is something that Google has clearly known about, but failed to address. Unacceptable.
