We just had a new Nest thermostat installed. It has power but no wifi. We got to the point where the display said no wifi but it allowed us to change the temperature and operate the a/c. Minutes later the display changed to a circle and said "connecting" and I am assuming it was trying to connect with my app on my phone. It has been unable to do so and while it continues to spin we cannot do anything related to operating the a/c.
I am okay with not having wifi for now and operating manually but don't know how to stop the spinning while it says connecting. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Thanks for contacting me.
The last Nest essentially died according to our electrician. Display was black and he confirmed power was going to it. We purchased a new one at Home Depot and the box is identical to the last one that was installed in 2021. The last one was connected to wifi and was set up on my app. This one was also ordered as a wifi one which is on the packing slip as wifi but nowhere on either box is the term wifi on it. Both boxes do say "Control from anywhere with the Google Home APP".
When electrician left it was trying to connect with our home network using the app and the "connecting" word and spinning dial was trying for almost an hour. Wed had assumed it would connect but I could not get it done. It shows as "Offline". Home network is password protected and 2.4 GHZ.
I was able to finally stop the spinning by taking off bluetooth on my phone. This has never connected and message on nest says to connect using the app.
I have reset (unplugged and replugged) the router which is maybe 20 feet from the nest on the wall. Nothing new near the router or nest and no walls in the way.
I did get email from google Nest as follows. Thank so much for your help.
