Google home is not smart enough to transfer media from one speaker to another

Latest build. One speaker is named "bathroom speaker", another is named "office display"

I have told Google Home to "transfer from bathroom speaker to office" every possible way imaginable, and it ALWAYS responds with "ok, transferring to Bathroom Speaker"

It transfers from speaker A to speaker A. It completely ignores what you are actually requesting even when it is documented that this is a supported feature.

Hey Username2747284,

Thanks for reaching out, let me help you out.

Make sure your devices are connected to the same network and set up in the same home structure. Try using these commands:

  • “Transfer to <device name>”
  • "Move the music to <device name>"
  • "Cast to <device name>"

If the issue persists, try moving your media using the Google Home app to see if you'll get the same results. Here's how:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Select Media.
  3. Media that's currently playing is displayed along with the devices it's playing from.
  4. Select the speaker or display to start playing media.

Looking forward to your response.

Best,

Alex
