Google home mini will not connect.

My Google home mini will not connect to anything. I have reset my internet. I have reset my internet connection on my cellphone. I have performed a factory reset on my Google home mini. I can’t even get through the set up process. I tried to submit a helot ticket on the Google home app, but waited 20 minutes for a chat with a “less then one minute wait” to say I’m annoyed is an understatement. I essentially have a really fancy and expensive brick on my counter.

  • Are you getting any error messages in the Google Home app when trying to connect your Google Home Mini? If so, what is the error message?
  • Has the Google Home Mini device been connected to this network before?
  • Are you using a personal Wi-Fi network or a shared network (e.g., business network, apartment network, mobile hotspot or pocket Wi-Fi)?
  • How far from your router is your Google Home Mini?
  • Are there any other networking devices on the network aside from the wireless router, such as an extender, repeater, or another access point?
  • Are you using an Android or iOS device?

No specific error messages, just says connected for a brief second followed by “something went wrong” with the option to try again, which I do and same thing happens every time. I try to connect both with my own cellphone and with my husbands. It has been on the same home wifi network for years changed ISP in the last year but used the same SSID and password, this issue didn’t start until about a month ago, it’s in the same room as the router. At this point I don’t even know what else to do as nothing the Google home app is telling me to do is working.
