Google home not showing chosen photos or videos I want to watch

I’ve recently got a Google home display and I’m becoming increasingly frustrated at it thinking it knows what I want to see but showing me the completely wrong things. I’ve uploaded lots of photos for an album for my photo frame to but it simply keeps showing me the same 5 photos on repeat. I thought I could use it to watch YouTube but it is just showing me ‘recommendations’ that I have either already watched or have no interest in watching, why can I not scroll through my subscriptions instead?

To better assist you regarding the inconvenience with the display not working with YouTube, please provide the following information: 

• What is the model of your Nest display?
• What is the firmware version of your Nest display?
• What is the voice command you're using to play YouTube videos?

While I gather more details, please try these steps to troubleshoot the photo frame inconvenience:

• Make sure the mobile software version and the Google Home app are up-to-date.
• Verify that the Google account linked to your speaker is the same one you're using on your mobile device. For reference, you can check out this article: Check which Google account is linked to a speaker or display. 
• Make sure the personal results are allowed. For instructions, refer to the next article: Allow personal results on your Assistant-enabled devices.
• Make sure Google Photos is enabled. For more information, go to Photo Frame on your Google Nest display.
