I am experiencing the same issue as this retired post -
I've tried multiple times resetting the Google home mini 1st gen. Everytime I hear "welcome to Google home. To start download the app...." But I also see on the TV screen it is searching for the previous network again, and eventually displays "can't connect to wifi". When trying to add the device to my Google home app, "this device was previously set up another account...." Message appears, asking me to factory reset the device. It seems a loop I cannot get out of.
