Google nest camera wired- how to take clip from 24/7

How do I get a clip from the 24/7 camera recordings please? I bought the camera literally to be able to do this. But it seems it's not possible anymore. Is there anyway around this? I'm happy with it otherwise but thinking maybe I should just be returning it.

If your camera is one of the newer ones that gets installed in the Google Home app and does NOT work in the Google Nest app, then there is no capability to create and download clips that were not flagged as events. Only the older cameras that get installed in the Google Nest app have that capability.
