Google nest connection issues

Paul8Brunyee

Hopefully there is someone out there that can help me. I have 3 Google Nests. One is where the router and NBN box is located. It has a solid white light. The second is some 21 meters away, connected ethernet cable. The third is some 38 meters away, once again connected by cable. Both are flashing yellow/orange. They both don't have the solid white light like the first. I have unplugged both and set both. How do I get the other two connected.

Is this Google wifi, nest wifi, or nest wifi pro?

Is this the first setup, or have they become disconnected?

Its Google wifi. I've unpluged them, I've rebooted them. I've done everything I can. Ive also turned off the router and modem. Still nothing.

Hi folks,

Appreciate the assistance here, @Spaghetti69

@Paul8Brunyee, thanks for reaching out and sorry for this experience. A few questions: was this set up working before? Is there an internet connection when you use the Ethernet cable connected to your second and third points to a computer or laptop?

Make sure to connect the cables securely to the WAN port of the devices once you confirm that there's an internet connection from them. If the flashing orange light still persists, perform a factory reset on the devices and set them up again.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,
Lovely

The devices were working before, there is an Ethernet cable connected from my computer to the second and third ports. They are connected to the WAN ports. I keep unplugging them and doing a factory reset. Plug in again,  wait and only get the orange colour.
Its very frustrating. Short of replacing all the cabling , which would be very hard to do, I don't know what else can be done.

Hello Paul8Brunyee,

Your Google Wifi points are still not getting any internet connection from the main router since they're showing an orange light status. I suggest setting up the access points right next to the main one; if they get connected successfully, then the issue is really with the cables. I know this is going to be a struggle for you; however, replacing the cables might be the only way we can get the devices up and running.

Cheers,
Lovely
