Google nest not as smart as i want it to be.

How come google nest is smart but not really? I can tell my thermostat to turn on and off and set temperatures but how come i can’t tell one thermostat to run and the other one to wait till it turns off? This would reduce the electrical load on a house. None of the thermostats have this feature and i know a ton of people that would use it if it was available?

We are working on expanding the automation infrastructure in Google Home App, so that the state level on one device can trigger actions on another device. Meanwhile, for the time being, you can set such an automation using the  Google Script Editor today.

Interesting thought, I can do this with diy automations external to Google.  Do you have issues or different costs based on load at your home?  I know that some areas have differing electrical costs at different times of the day.

I have solar on the house so I’m the morning if i can only run one at a time i can charge the battery faster
