Google nest settings error

Max311

Hello, I would like to ask about my new Google Nest Mini, which says that it is unavailable for almost every setting in the Google Home application. What is causing this? But the sound settings work perfectly and the speaker can also control Spotify normally. When I talk about Spotify, is it possible to control music playback via Nest on another device? Because when I have Spotify on my PC. and I tell Nest to stop playing, it says that nothing is playing, but when I play on Nest, it can be controlled via the computer.  I have ios device and android too.

Hi @Max311!

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I am sorry that you are having issues with your Google Nest Mini, which says that it is unavailable for almost every setting in the Google Home application, but no need to worry; help is here.

You could follow the instructions on this link. Link your music services and set your default service. That is very helpful toknow; it isw so much better to use and control the device.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reply to this post. I'll be happy to assist you further!

Best regards,
Jeremy.

Thanks, but I would rather be interested in why there is a problem with the speaker and its management in those settings and that everything there is inaccessible and it cannot connect and sometimes it even disconnects from the internet, I tried the 5G network and the 2.4G network and it doesn't work on either one. I tried another mobile phone and it doesn't work either. I'll probably file a complaint. Because I bought it about a week ago. Just to be sure if it can't be fixed somehow. I haven't found anywhere on the internet that it would do what it does to me, I think it's a defective piece.

Hi @Max311!

Thank you for your reply. That information is going to be very helpful to better assist you. I will be happy to continue assisting you. Based on the information that you gave me, I realized that you have not performed a reboot for your router. Below are some steps you could try:

To reboot the Wi-Fi router:

  • Unplug the Wi-Fi router from the power source for 2 minutes.
  • Ensure that the router's lights turn off completely when unplugged.
Note: Some routers have backup battery packs, so you need to disconnect the battery packs as well to ensure that the router is completely turned off.
  • After 2 minutes, plug the router back into its power source.
  • Once all the router lights are back on and you find the network name listed in the Wi-Fi options on their mobile device or computer, you should check if the Google Nest or Home device is now connected to the Wi-Fi network.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,
Jeremy.
