Long-Overdue Hebrew Language Support in Google Assistant – Request for Immediate Action
Hello,
My name is Moshe, and I have been a loyal and active user of Google Nest products and other Google smart home devices for more than 4 years. I am also part of the Preview program and have consistently chosen Google’s ecosystem over alternatives, investing significantly in devices and services.
For years, there have been public announcements and community discussions about adding Hebrew language support for Google Assistant voice commands. Yet, this has still not been implemented. The result is that I am unable to control my smart home devices in my native language, despite Google Assistant being the central hub of my home automation.
With the introduction of Google Gemini, which already supports Hebrew in conversation, the absence of Hebrew voice command support for smart home control feels like a major gap — and a broken promise. This is not just a missing feature; it is preventing me, and many other Hebrew-speaking customers, from fully using products we have already paid for.
As a long-term, invested customer, I expect transparency and a clear commitment from Google:
• Is full Hebrew language support for Google Assistant, including voice control for smart home devices, actively planned?
• If yes, what is the target release date
I urge Google to address this immediately. Delaying this feature undermines the user experience for a large group of customers, and I hope to see concrete progress and a timeline in your reply..
