Help creating an Automation Rule to set a thermostat value based on another device's current temp.

Hello,

First post here, trying to get some help creating a Google Home Automation rule. So, I use Smartthings and Google Home. I have a bunch of stuff on Smartthings that doesn't work natively and I use Google Home to make things work. I've done it with my Rachio Garden irrigation setup, and I'm trying to do it again, this time with an Heat Pump.

I have an Ariston Heat Pump connected to Google Home, I can only turn it on, off and see the temperature. It doesn't integrate on Smartthings, nevertheless I'm using a Smart Plug so at least I can turn it on, off and see electrical consumption. Now I'm trying to get the temperature to Smartthings and for that I thought of using Smartthings virtual devices and Google Home to pull the temperature data out of the Heat Pump.

I was trying something like this, but it seems it won't work:

Anyone have any ideas how can I pull this off?

Thanks

Hi @nfrt,

Thank you for contacting our support community! I'm sorry to hear your automation isn't connecting data between SmartThings and the Google Home app. I'm here to help.

I appreciate your efforts to connect your heat pump data through SmartThings and the Google Home app using virtual devices. I understand your integration idea. However, I recommend contacting SmartThings support directly for the best troubleshooting assistance.

Keep me post.

Best regards,

Eduardo
