Arming SimpliSafe with Google Home/Nest

Within this past week, when I say, "Hey Google, set Simplisafe to Home," suddenly after years of seamless functioning my Google Home/Nest speakers/displays say, "I'm not sure what level to set the SimpliSafe to, try saying set SimpliSafe to home or set SimpliSafe to away." No matter how many times I repeat myself or how clearly I say it, it keeps repeating that. Yet, when I say away, it arms seamlessly as usual. I have tried literally everything. I rebooted devices. I rebooted my network. I've uninstalled and reinstalled apps. ***I also have tried what was mentioned in a previous forum with unlinking and relinking Simplisafe. That does not fix the issue. Please don't refer me to that forum.*** Someone please help and/or find a way to fix this. Thank you!

Hi A-A-ron88,

 

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand that the command "Hey Google, set Simplisafe to Home" isn't working properly and it says an error message, even though it worked before. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

  • How many Nest speakers and displays do you have, and which generation are they?
  • Are you the owner of the home or family member?
  • Are you able to control the SimpliSafe system through the Google Home app or the SimpliSafe app?
