Help with Nest

Looking for the phone number to get help with the Nest thermostat. Google makes it near impossible to get assistance going through all the prompts, verifications, etc. to chat, speak by phone, and send an email.

Our Nest keeps adjusting itself to warmer temps which is severely impacting my family. I've confirmed settings multiple times, disenrolled from Eco/Energy Saver and have contacted our utility provider now several times. Does anyone have any solutions? I would not recommend this product to any homeowner out there.

You've mentioned that you disenrolled from Eco/Energy Saver, but here are some things that I would make sure you double and triple check.

All of these options should be within the Nest App on your phone(Not the Google Home App):

  1. On the Thermostat main screen (where you can adjust temperature) click on the "Schedule" icon at the bottom and remove any schedules that it may have.
  2. Back on the Thermostat main screen click on the Gear icon in the top right and verify the following:
    1. Home/Away Assist is OFF (you may need to verify this is OFF in the Google Home App as well if you use it there).
    2. Auto-Schedule is OFF
    3. Early-On is OFF
    4. Cool to Dry is OFF
    5. And then disable any other settings you don't want to use.

If you disable all of that then I can't imagine it should be adjusting anything on it's own. If it's still adjusting automatically after then I would still try to find some more support from Google if you can.

Hope this helps!

Unfortunately, Google Nest does not publish support phone numbers for us to use.  You can try the link and instructions in this post. Depending on the time of day, you should be able to get a phone callback.

Hi folks,

@DaneH, thanks for reaching out to us, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. I want to check if you are still in need of any help. If so, a few questions: Are you located in North America or Europe? And what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? If you have the Nest Learning Thermostat or the Nest Thermostat E follow these steps:

  • Press the thermostat ring to bring up the Quick View menu.
  • Select Settings.
  • Turn the ring and select Eco.
  • Turn off both the Eco Temperature.
  • Select Done.
  • Turn the ring and select Nest Sense.
  • Select Auto Schedule.
  • Select Off.
  • Select Done.
  • Turn the ring and select Home/Away Assist.
  • Select Done.
  • Turn the ring and select Reset.
  • Select Auto Schedule.
  • Select confirm Reset.
  • Turn the ring to reset schedule.

For Nest Thermostat 2020, try these:

  • Clear weekly schedule.
    • On the home screen, touch and hold your device's tile.
    • Tap Settings > Schedules > Clear weekly schedule.
  • Adjust temperature preset on the thermostat.
    • Back to Settings > Temperature Preferences > Temperature Preset.
  • Restart the thermostat.
    • Go to Settings > Restart > Restart > Yes.

Let us know how it goes.

I appreciate your input, @MplsCustomer and @linkian19

Best,

Zoe

You haven't specified what Google Nest device you have or what problem you are having, so it would be hard for customers in this community forum to offer suggestions.
