Home wifi and compatibility

We currently have a Google Nest Wi-Fi set up with a Google Nest Wi-Fi router, connected to two  Google wifi points, a Google door camera, and Google photo frames. I would like wider wifi coverage around my house, shed and garage. I have tried moving the wifi points with only limited success.

Do I buy the new Google Nest Pro router and 2 Pro wifi points and switch over to that system? If I do, can I still use the older wifi points to extend coverage, and the old router as another wifi point?

Or do I buy several more of the older Google wifi points and continue using the old  system?

I am not a tech guru, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks, and HNY to you.

Hi @PrettyOne!

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I understand that you would like to extend the coverage of your WiFi, but no need to worry; help is here. Before continuing, I need to know a few details about your WiFi in order to provide you with a better resolution:

  • How many devices do you have?
  • Since when is this problem presenting?
  • How many devices actively use the internet at once?
  • Have you already talked with your ISP?
  • Recently there was a power outage in your area?
  • What is the speed of your WiFi router?

I'll be waiting for your response; any additional details you can provide will be helpful.

Best regards,
Jeremy.
