How to add an Action in Google Home, Automations, Household routines, Away?

Using Google Home app on iPhone 7 (iOS 15.7.9) & want to use Google Home and presence sensing to automatically lock my August smart lock.  The lock is connected to Google Home and I can talk to Google Home, but I want to be able to use presence sensing to lock the door "When everyone's away".  But when I want to "Add actions" to the Away routine, the lock does not appear.  What am I doing wrong?

Home / Away routines are very restrictive with GHome app... I can't manage my thermostat or Nuki with it neither.

Try Automation !  https://home.google.com/ 

Home / Away status works pretty well for me in Automation scripts.
