So I've recently acquired a new 4K Chromecast with Google TV, as a substitute for my previous 4K Chromecast.
However, there's an issue that really ruins our experience.
There are several people in my household with different content attached to their Google accounts / Youtube accounts, and we would like to use one Google account for logging into the Google TV, and when entering Youtube, we would like to have another Google account active all of the time. This does not seem to be possible, without having to switch back and forth between accounts constantly, which really makes for a non-seamless experience.
Has anyone experienced the same, or is there any resolution to have the Youtube account seperate to the Google TV's default one?

Hi there,
It's not possible to switch YouTube accounts without switching profiles. You can still cast to the device from different mobile devices as you could with the older generation Chromecast devices.

By setting up profiles the device will keep all of your recommends seperate not just youtube. It works well. I don't have to see reccomends for anime that I can't stand while the person who watches that gets them.

Hi @Cathal_S,
Thanks for the response!
That's very dissapointing considering we got the product to lessen our phone usage, and remove them from the equation of watching content on our TV.

Yes, that works very well! However, it's not all content like that which is being recommended through streaming apps that we would like to separate, it's only Youtube. And you are able to log on to different accounts on any app not owned by Google, so I find it bothersome that they don't allow for different log-ins into their Youtube app.
