We have a chime that goes off every time some one opens an outside door. The chime sounds through the nest guard/ nest aware with the wireless connection to the magnetic door parts. We cannot figure out how to dispel this open door tone

To turn off the open door chime with Nest Guard, you can follow these steps:
If you have multiple Nest Guard devices, you will need to repeat these steps for each device that you want to adjust.
Keep in mind that by turning off the open door chime, you won't hear an alert when a door or window is opened while your Nest Guard is in the disarmed or home and guarding modes.

To disable or adjust the door chime on your Nest Guard/Nest Aware system, you can follow these general steps:
Launch the Nest app: Open the Nest app on your smartphone or tablet that is connected to your Nest Guard/Nest Aware system.
Access the settings: Navigate to the settings for your Nest Guard or Nest Aware system. Look for a menu or icon that allows you to configure the device settings.
Locate the door chime settings: Within the settings, search for options related to door chimes, alerts, or notifications. It may be listed under a "Security" or "Notifications" section.
Adjust or disable the door chime: Once you find the door chime settings, you should have the option to adjust the volume, tone, or disable the chime entirely. Select the desired option that suits your preferences.
Save the changes: After making the desired adjustments to the door chime settings, save the changes within the Nest app.
If you encounter any specific challenges or if the steps vary based on your Nest Guard or Nest Aware system version, it's recommended to consult the user manual or visit the official Nest support website for further guidance. They can provide detailed instructions tailored to your specific device model and software version.
Remember that these instructions are general, and the actual steps may differ slightly depending on the specific version of the Nest app and hardware you are using.
