Hubspace Inwall Outlet

Hello

I have an Hubspace in-wall outlet which both of the outlets are smart outlets. The problem that I currentlying having is that I can't turn one on. When I tell Google Home to turn on switch it turns on both of them. I can see on the Google Home display that the two outlet are named different. Like I have the main outlet name Switch 2 then one outlet Light 3 and the other outlet Fan 2 well I have tried different ways to just turn on one outlet but no success. If I tell Google Home(GH) to turn on Switch 2 both outlets turn on. I have tried Switch 2 Fan no success. I have tried Fan 2 no success. I have also looked in the GH apps and it only show the one Switch2 not two separate items. So I was looking to see if there was a solution or suggestions?

Thanks,

Raymond

Hi millerriii,

Thanks for reaching out — let’s see what’s going on. A few questions: Is it working before? If so, were there any recent changes or updates to your setup? What Nest speakers do you own? Also, what steps have you taken so far?

Try to reboot your Wi-Fi router, and once the network is back up, do the same thing to your Nest speaker and observe if it makes a difference. Relinking the Hubspace in-wall outlet might also help.

Keep me posted.

Regards,

Juni

Hello Iasuaz,

When I open up the google app it shows the outlet has one  not split. There is no options or any other name. But now if I look on Google Hub I can see the two outlets and can control them separate using Google Hub screen.

When I go into the application go to the Hubspace Outlet I don't have options or anything to be able to split the outlets. I am sure that it is just a developer issue. The reason I say that is if I go to my Google Hub then go to that same outlet it is split on the screen. I still am not able to voice control it but I can turn the individual switches on and off. But on my phone I don't have that option.

Thanks,

Raymond

Hi millerriii,

Got it. What phone are you using (Android or iOS)? Is the Google Home app updated? Have you tried relinking the Google Home app? Using another phone will also help us isolate this.

Thanks for the help, lasuaz.

Best,

Juni

Hello LovelyM,

Yes it is still an issues. I am hoping that it is just a small development issue and it will get resolved soon. Because it shows up as to different outlets on Google Hub not on the Home apps. Please go ahead a lock this thread. I have tried everything that was suggested. That is with a Android I don't have iOS phone to test out.

Thanks.
