Hi jessie787,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, is your Nest thermostat already installed? How many thermostats do you have? What's the make and model of your HVAC equipment?
Give these steps a try:
- Connect the thermostat W wire to the power connector W•Y wire through a wire connector.
- Connect the W•Y wire from the power connector to the W terminal on the HVAC system.
- Connect the thermostat R wire to the power connector R wire through a wire connector.
- Connect the R wire from the power connector to the R terminal on the HVAC system.
- Connect the C wire from the power connector to the C/Com terminal on the HVAC system.
- Properly terminate any loose wires.
- Close the HVAC cover.
- Turn on the power to the HVAC system.
Note: The customer must close the HVAC cover before they turn on the power.
- For the Nest Thermostat (2020) only:
- Already installed: On the thermostat, go to Settings> Equipment> Power Connector> Power Test to check the power.
- Not yet installed: Attempt to install the Nest Thermostat (2020) again. The customer should be able to complete the installation this time. Refer to [How to] Install Nest Thermostat (2020) for more details.
Looking forward to your response.
Regards,
Emerson
