Is it possible to "Un-associate" my Nest account with my Google account ??

I recently tried for the first time in a long time to re-log in to my Nest account.  I did not remember my password, so I hoped my phone would remember it for me.
The first thing I was offered was the option to sign in with Google.  Again, not remembering my password, I tried it.  After some time, it logged me in, but all of my devices were gone.  I figured this must have been because it was not the same account I had logged in with previously
So I logged out, and re-logged in with my original (non-gmail) email address.  It asked me to migrate my account to google, so I tried.
I quickly got an error message "Your account can't be migrated".  This Google account is already linked with another Nest Account.  Please select another Google account.
It appears that, by accidentally attempting to log in via Google first, I must have created an (empty) Nest Account associated with my Gmail email address.
Is it possible to delete this ??

@kaditmore

I think you may have associated an (empty) Nest Account with your Google Account when you logged onto the Google Nest app using "Sign in with Google" option. My guess is that there is no way to undo this.

You might have to resort to using the instructions under "Error message: Google Account is already linked with another Nest account" in this Help topic:
