Light not turning on to 100%

ziggy81ziggy

I have Wake My Light set up on "lamp" in "Bedroom". The light has a dimmable smart bulb.

Until this week it's worked fine but now it only wakes to about 50-60% and when we ask for the "Bedroom" lights on it comes on dimmed.

I can manually turn it up to full and ask Google to do this but why has it stopped?

I can't see a setting for this anywhere?

I've removed the bulb from home and readded but it's still not working as it did.

Thanks

Hey ziggy81ziggy,

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.

Couple of things to check for us to further isolate the issue. Have you created a routine that might affect this light status? Try to remove the light from the socket and plug it back in after 1 minute. This will refresh it's connection from your network. Turn it up to 100% brightness using your voice command and leave it for at least a couple of minutes, turn it off and then ask your Google Assistant to turn it back on again.

Also, check the native app for your light and see if it's being dimmed from it. Sometimes, we have unconsciously changed the settings from its app.

Let me know how it goes by replying to this thread.

Regards,

Ryan
