Monitoring Outdoor Temperature

I realize this has been asked over (and over) over the years, but I've yet to find a solution.

My wife and I are "all in" on Google Home automation, but have become REALLY frustrated that when we ask, "What's the outside temperature," our Google Homes (we have five) just repeat whatever our local airport reported an hour ago.

Here in Southern California, that can be off by as much as ten degrees.

I'm looking for (hoping there is?) s simple temperature sensor I can put outside, so we can ask, "Hey, Google, what's the temperature on the patio" (or, wherever we put it).

When I search on Amazon, they present all kinds of "WiFi enabled" sensors, but strangely, none seem to work with Google (or, Alexa, for that matter). What's strange is that they're all really inexpensive ($15 or so), and contain all the tech... Just no Google /Nest integration.

Humidity would be nice, too, but at the very least, we'd like to know what it's like outside without having to go outside.

Fingers crossed there's something new out there?
