So I really like the Google home system. And I am expanding our system as we speak.
but one thing is bothering me. As soon as my internet is down my assistent in the nest hub is also down.
but my WiFi system was still working perfect so why can’t the nest work without the internet.
I presume this will be a issue for everyone so why does Google not make the system workable even when the internet is down. Because now I cannot work my lights without the internet, and if that is something that is not to be solved. I think I need to switch to a other system. As working the lights should be a function that works always. As this is something that not need.s the internet.
I really would like to know what the response is from Google as I feel left in the cold now.
last week my internet was not working so I came downstairs wanting to switch on my lights. But because the internet was down Google nest was also down.
and I think they can work around this very easy. And I hope they will do so.

Google Nest and Home speakers and displays are internet connected devices, they require an internet connection to function. When you ask your device to do something, it sends that query to Google servers to process and fulfil your request, that does not happen on the device itself. Just to help set expectations, what you're requesting would completely change how the device and associated systems work, so definitely not something that's easy to change or workaround, and I wouldn't expect to see any changes in this respect if I'm being honest with you.
I don't work for Google.
