Hello Martaldn,

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your Nest thermostat that won't hold the charge. Let's see what's going on.

A few questions:

  1. Is it not turn on even when connected to the charger?
  2. When did the issue first occur?
  3. Are all the wires of your thermostat seated firmly in its terminals (with no loose or exposed wires)?
  4. Are you getting any message codes or wiring reports before the issue occurs?

Try the steps here:

  1. Connect the thermostat display to a computer via a micro USB cord.
  2. Check and see if your computer recognizes your device plugged in.

Check out this guide and let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi there,

Checking back in. Were you able to do the steps above? I'd be glad to hear from you — I'd like to make sure everything is working.

Best regards,

Mark

Hello Mark,

The plumber that installed the thermostat came around and he said the heat link is thr broken. We have tried different troubleshooting but there is not lights or anything. How do I request a spare heat link? My thermostat is 2 years old.

thank you
