NEST 2nd generation thermostateee

Second generation NEST. Won't let me add to Nest account.I have a new second generation nest thermostat I purchased from Lowe's to replace a 1st gerneration thermostat. It won't let me add it to my nest account as it won't take the setup key which requires all numbers. The setup key is AA7sv2.

I've reviewed the input and understand that you're encountering issues when you try to add your Nest thermostat 2nd generation on your Nest account, and it won't let you. I'm here to help you troubleshoot and find a solution together.

To assist you further, please attempt the following questions:

  • What is the error message that you've received when you try to add your Nest thermostat?
  • What are the troubleshooting steps you've already tried? If so, which steps have you tried already?
  • During the process of adding your Nest thermostat to the Nest app, is your Bluetooth turned on?
  • Does your Nest app have all the necessary permissions?
  • How far is your thermostat from your router?

In the meantime, you can do some troubleshooting:

  • delete and reinstall the Nest App.
  • Instead of using the key, try scanning the QR code that is back on the device.
  • Try setting up on a different device.

I reinstalled nest on iphone

I missed one letter in the setup code now it won't accept the number  of the device
