I can no longer control my nest from my phone says no wifi but when I bring it up on the nest app and check history it shows what I have used. So nest can access it but I can't. Guess that's how they force you to buy new products.

Hi @JimK1958

Thank you so much for posting in this community. I understand how you feel about the impact of upcoming changes regarding your Nest Learning Thermostat (1st gen) via the Nest app because you're unable to control it from your phone. I'm happy to share more information.

Starting from 25 October 2025, your thermostat will lose its cloud-based features; it will be unpaired and removed from your Nest app or Home app. This includes third-party assistants and other connected features. For complete details, please refer to this article: End of support for Nest Learning Thermostats (1st and 2nd gen).

To help you transition, we are offering a special price for the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen). The discount code was sent to the email address registered to your thermostat.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Regards,

Daniel
